Former captain of Kolkata Knight Riders Sourav Ganguly who was dropped by Kolkata Knight Riders's owner in this auction, was on the bench. But Sourav Ganguly made a dramatic return in cash-rich league on this 3rd May Tuesday, signing for Pune Warriors India. He is selected in the place of an injured Ashish Nehra.

Now all fan of Saurav Ganguly are waiting for his superv batting performance that he used to give when he was in Indian team. Pune Warriors is in the last of the ipl 4 point table. Pune Warriors has won only two matches out of eight.
Hope come back of Saurav Ganguly will definitely bring some good news for the new team.

But in todays match (with Mumbai Indians on 4 May 2011), Yuvraj has confirmed that Saurav Ganguly will not play. He might play from next match.

IPL Match Fixing?

After Cricket World Cup 2011, the Indian Premier League (IPL) session 4 is the next celebration for cricket fans. Modified, short and fast version of cricket called Twenty20; IPL has just started in Indian with 10 teams. As we know lots of rumors came across the semifinal & final match of Cricket World Cup.
Lots of people might have question about IPL 2011 match fixing. Are matches are fixed in IPL 2011? Does IPL 2011 is fixed? Is IPL matches are fixed? Wikileaks ipl match fixing?
The International Cricket Council (ICC) is worried about the Twenty20 format's vulnerability to corrupt practices.

A top official told IANS that it is very tough for its Anti-Corruption and Security Unit (ACSU) to "keep tabs on players in a tournament where national teams are not participating."
"It is becoming tough for ACSU to keep clean a tournament, where national teams are not participating. And now after the spot-fixing incident we are more vigilant. There is still a huge risk to the game of cricket but ACSU has done an excellent job. We have a robust system in place to combat spot-fixing," said the official on the condition of anonymity.

The IPL has been under the scanner after the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) initially refused ACSU services citing high costs. But the presence of well-known bookie Hamid Qasim Banjo, who shot into limelight in the Hansie Cronje match-fixing scandal that rocked world cricket in 2000 at the Wanderers stadium during the second edition, prompted the BCCI to rope in ACSU.
The official said the popularity of Twenty20 cricket is a worry for the ACSU.
"Twenty20 cricket is very vulnerable to match-fixing since it is very unpredictable. We are still trying to keep it clean and break the betting syndicates," he said.
But still we never know that who and when the match fixing will takes places which can bring bitter in the cricket match. Let’s Hope that there will not be any match fixing & cricket fan will enjoy a lot from IPL Twenty20
